Donate to the shelter

Over 1000 homeless and abandoned animals each year find a new home through our shelter- could you help us?

Union County Animal Protection Society was incorporated in 1985 as a non-profit, tax exempt organization, dedicated to the animal welfare of South Arkansas. The UCAPS volunteer Board of Directors is responsible for securing funds and conducting fund-raising activities. Board meetings are open to the public.

The shelter facility operates under the leadership of one manager and several full and part-time employees.  Visit the shelter Wednesday – Saturday 12 noon to 5 p.m. Also watch for our frequent adoption days.

UCAPS offers programs free of charge to local organizations churches, and schools. It is especially important to teach young children the perils of overpopulation and the proper humane treatment of all animals.
